The Greater Topeka Partnership is partnering with the Topeka City of Character to sponsor November's word of the month - "enthusiasm".
Enthusiasm is defined as expressing joy in each task as I give it my best effort.
We asked Visit Topeka Inc.'s President and CEO Brett Oetting what enthusiasm means to him. "When I think of the work enthusiasm, it reminds me of the work of my staff and how good they are. Our mission is to spread the word that Topeka is a great place to live, work, and play. We do this by creating fun events and telling the best aspects of Topeka through social media and other forms of advertising. The staff lives and breathes these goals. They have undeniable enthusiasm for the city and their jobs and that enthusiasm is infectious through throughout the community by the number of people that attend our events."
A "City of Character" is one in which the elected officials, community leaders, and citizens at large recognize the importance of good character. We're thrilled to contribute to Topeka's character in November. Check back for more posts about enthusiasm from leaders within the Greater Topeka Partnership!
