You’ve got less than two weeks to go to get ready for the Capitol City Family & Food Truck Festival (who else is wearing elastic on June 3?)!

In its third year, the festival is heading to the Capitol grounds and adding sample sizes so you can try as much as you like. We’ll still have lots of great entertainment, including a kids’ zone with inflatables and other fun, some of your favorite Kansas collegiate mascots will be wandering around and the Capitol will be open for tours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. You’ll be able to check out the festival from the top of the dome – for the first time on a Saturday!

There are several new trucks joining us this year. We’ll publish a complete round up, map and more by June 1, but to whet your appetite here are three we’ve never hosted before:

Baking Traditions LLC

Love breads and sweets? Top City’s own Baking Traditions creates European-style breakfast pastries, scones and more.

BeaverTails comes all the way from Fayetteville, Arkansas! This truck serves whole-wheat Canadian pastries, crafted into the shape of a beaver’s tail.

Pita for Good

Featuring pitas, hummus, Greek salad and more, Pita for Good is joining us from Lee's Summit, MO.
