Tis the season to be jolly and shop Topeka! The next three weekends will offer holiday-themed shopping experiences you won’t want to miss!

Nov. 18 – NOTO Arts District’s Candlelight Christmas

From 5 until 9 p.m. NOTO will host a Candlelight Christmas. Shoppers can find many unique and hand-crafted gifts in the stores throughout NOTO. In addition to shopping, there will be plenty of activities for the family including a photo booth, Christmas window displays, carriage rides, carolers and more. Carriage rides will run from 5 until 9 p.m. The cost for adults is $10 and the cost for children ages 3 to 13 is $5. A barbershop quartet and the Salvation Army band will provide music and the photo booth will be at Vintage Vibe. The Topeka Rescue Mission will also be collecting diapers and pull-ups for the children at the Mission.

Nov. 26 – Small Business Saturday (throughout Topeka)

All around Topeka, businesses and shoppers will celebrate Small Business Saturday on November 26.  GO Topeka, 120 S.E. 6th Ave., has small business passports and bags participants can pick up before November 26, when completed the scavenger hunt card may be returned to GO Topeka to be entered into a prize drawing. After November 20 consumers can pick up a small business directory at GO Topeka for a list of participating businesses. The list will also be online at gotopeka.com. Small Business Saturday is a national campaign that was founded in 2010 by American Express.

Dec. 3 – WinterFest (Downtown Topeka)

Santa Claus is coming to town, right down Kansas Avenue!  Visit Topeka will hold the first ever WinterFest downtown to highlight downtown businesses and of course, have a little fun! The event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include ice sculptures, carolers, gingerbread house making, 12 days of Christmas displays, discounts and specialty items at area shops, $5 photos with reindeer, $1 per person sleigh rides, and free photos with Santa at Wolfe’s from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Vendors will include: LulaRoe, Cassie Carlson, Usborne Books and Magnabilities.
