The Topeka community is invited to gather at Bethany House and Garden on Sunday, October 6th at 2pm for the 41st celebration of the Topeka Animal Blessing. The service will be held in the St. Simon's outdoor chapel in the southeast corner of the garden, and will be led by neighborhood clergy. Representatives from the Topeka Zoo, Helping Hands Humane Society, and others will have tables set up in the garden for folks to visit before and after the service. All pets are welcome, furry, feathered, scaly, and more, and if your animal companion is nervous in crowds or doesn't travel well, bring a photo or memento for us to bless instead. To ensure that all our friends--human and non--feel safe and comfortable, we ask that all dogs remain on leashes, and all other pets stay secured in carriers. We look forward to celebrating with you, for the love of all God's creatures!
