Gallery Talk by Rik Hine

Rik Hine, a philosophy professor at Washburn University, will provide an inside view of his process as guest curator of On The Outside Looking In?. This exhibition of photographs from the Mulvane permanent collection explores how we think of "insiders" and "outsiders." The works highlight our pre-formed judgements and question how we position others in relation to ourselves. Dr. Hine will discuss how he created an impactful presentation of works by photographers including Cindy Sherman, Larry Fink, Peter Turnley, and Donna Ferrato.
