India Fest 2017

IndiaFest is an annual community event organized by India Association of Topeka to support local charities.

Since 2003 IndiaFest has achieved its goal of introducing Indian culture in its myriad forms to the people of Topeka. The event offers diverse cuisine from different regions of India, photo opportunities for Topekans to picture themselves in traditional Indian garb, and mehendi or henna application. All of this food is home made and donated by volunteers. There is also a sale of a variety of Indian handicrafts and costume jewelry. All of the net proceeds from this event are donated every year to a local charity. This years beneficiary is the Fire Fighters association. In the recent years, these charities have included YWCA, Florence Crittenton Services , Kansas Children’s Discovery Center and easter seals capper foundation.

Please join us August 26, 2017 for a fun day at Big Gage Shelter and help us support our local community.
