The 14th annual Kansas Book Festival will occur Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., hosted by the Washburn University Library. The Festival is free and open to the general public, both adults and children. Over 45 prominent authors give presentations based on new books in nonfiction, fiction, and poetry, plus picture books and young adult novels. The festival also includes outdoor performances, food trucks, a children's activity tent, and exhibitor tents with publishers, book artists, and literacy nonprofits from the Kansas region.
