We are celebrating the Native Voices Exhibit this week with fun activities!

Tuesday, 1/23: Celebrate our Native Voices exhibit through a special storytime at 1:00 pm.  Book: Jingle Dancer by Cynthia Leitich Smith. 1 pm

Wednesday, 1/24:  Native tribes in the Northeast celebrate summer by gathering together to dig for clams for a clam bake. Join us for a pretend clam dig in our Native Voices exhibit. 1 pm

Thursday, 1/25: Make your own mini-canoe using recycled materials. Test to see if your canoe will float! 1 pm

Friday, 1/26: Clay pottery! Native tribes created their own pottery for daily use. Create your very own masterpiece to take home while learning about native pottery. 10:30 am and 1 pm

Saturday, 1/27: Bison Box with Flint Hills Discovery Center! Educators from the Flint Hills Discovery Center will be onsite to share how Indigenous peoples used all parts of a bison for food, tools and shelter to avoid waste. Examples tools will be available for families to explore from 11am - 3pm.
