Safe Kids Day At The Zoo

Join us for Safe Kids Day at the Zoo on Saturday, May 2 as we partner with Safe Kids Kansas to celebrate family safety and fun! This annual event brings together dozens of community organizations to share tips, resources, and hands-on activities that help keep children safe and healthy at home, at play, and on the go.

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy interactive exhibits, games, and live entertainment — all while exploring the Zoo. Activities often include safety scavenger hunts, performances, temporary tattoos, and bicycle helmet fittings for children (while supplies last). It’s an exciting, educational day designed to help families prepare for a safe summer of outdoor adventures.

This event is included with regular Zoo admission and is open to guests of all ages. Come out, learn something new, and make safety part of your family’s everyday routine.
