Throwback Thursday Cinema "The Dark Knight"

The action of The Dark Knight takes place roughly one year after the events of Batman Begins (2005). Together, Batman, Lieutenant James Gordon, and the newly-elected District Attorney Harvey Dent set out to rid the streets of Gotham City of the criminal element that plagues it. Their efforts are disrupted, however, when an enigmatic and sadistic criminal mastermind, known only as “The Joker,” emerges and starts wreaking havoc throughout the city. As the battle between Batman and The Joker intensifies, it becomes personal, and forces the Dark Knight to challenge his core beliefs and develop new technology to combat the villain. Amidst all this, a love triangle blooms between Bruce Wayne, Dent, and Rachel Dawes, adding even more complexity to this epic saga.
