We have confirmed Flor de Toloache - Mariachi Femenino as the ticketed performance during Tacos y Tequila 2018. We could not be more thrilled. Ticket information coming in Spring. Meantime, enjoy this Tiny Desk Concert from NPR Music:

  • Mariachi concert tickets are ON SALE NOW.
  • Cash and cards will be accepted at the tasting event and street fair.
  • Before the main concert, enjoy mariachi music from Mariachi Luna Azul and Mariachi Girasol de Topeka.
  • Restaurants will have tacos for $2 or less, as well as other foods for sale. You'll also have the power to decide the best taco of the night by voting at the event.

Why September?

Tacos y Tequila began as the annual Kansas Mariachi Festival, which was held Sept. 16 to commemorate Mexican independence. September 16, 1810 is the day Mexico declared its independence from Spain. That independence was won in September 1821.
