What is Topeka Restaurant Week?

Topeka Restaurant Week is an annual promotion that highlights local restaurants. Participating restaurants offer specially priced menus for lunch and/or dinner. 

Are menus available online?

Lunch and Dinner menus are available on our website and promoted on Facebook. Menu items may be subject to change due to demand and availability. Confirm promotions with the restaurant you're visiting. Some restaurants may not provide menus until closer to the event. 

Do I have to make reservations?

Reservations are suggested for fine dining restaurants. Reservations are not required in most restaurants.

There's a restaurant I really want to be in Topeka Restaurant Week. How can I make it happen?

Tell the restaurant manager or owner about it and have them visit our Restaurant Registration Page!

How can my restaurant participate?

Registration for 2019 is still open. Visit our Restaurant Registration Page to get signed up. After you're signed up, submit your menu via the website or by emailing it to Rosa Cavazos.

Why do I have to apply?

Restaurants participating in Topeka Restaurant Week fit within a set of standards that help us ensure that the event is a consistent experience for locals and tourists. Standards include the price point, ratings, reviews, etc.

Is there a participation fee?

No, there isn't an annual fee for Topeka Restaurant Week. Our goal is to help increase tourism to Topeka, therefore increasing business for restaurants and helping them build their reputation. Some restaurants don't "need" promotion, but will still join in on Restaurant Week to help the Topeka restaurant community grow.

What do I need to offer if my restaurant wants to participate in Topeka Restaurant Week?

Your restaurant must offer a special Topeka Restaurant Week menu during the event dates from March 1-8, 2019. You can offer lunch, dinner, or both. You don't have to include beverages, gratuities and taxes. Some restaurants will, however, create special drink menus to complement their Restaurant Week menu.

Are there guidelines or program rules?

There are standards that are agreed to by participating restaurants prior to inclusion and promotion of Topeka Restaurant Week. We prefer that what you're providing to customers is a deal that they cannot regularly enjoy. Beverages are not required but could be added to incentivize the deal. Each year we also partner with a local non-profit or other programs to give back to the community. In 2019, at least 5% from every sale will go towards a scholarship fund for Hospitality and Culinary Arts major in the area. You're welcome to donate more!
