Join us for the 3rd Annual Capital City Family & Food Truck Festival -- now near the Kansas Statehouse!

Food trucks, vendors and more will be positioned in an L shape around the Capitol -- from SW 10th Ave. between Harrison and Jackson and from Jackson from 10th to 9th. 

No admission is charged to enter the festival. Food trucks will charge. ** NEW FOR 2017: Sample sizes available for purchase. **

PARKING INFO: Downtown parking garages are open and not charging on Saturday. 9th and Jackson; 9th and Qunicy; 6th and Kansas.

ATM ACCESS: There are ATMs at 7th and Kasnas and 9th and Kansas.

What to do before, during and after the festival

Before 
7:30 a.m to noon -- Downtown Topeka Farmers' Market

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. -- St. Matthew Sing for Joy Craft Fair

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Youth in the Outdoors Day

10:30 a.m. -- Gather in front of the Capitol Visitor Center entrance on 8th Street to help commemorate the inaugural Saturday tours of the Kansas Statehouse. 

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. -- Historical and Capitol Dome tours offered. No reservations or tickets required.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- Mulvane Art Fair is underway on the Washburn University campus. The Mulvane Art Fair continues Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During

  • Enjoy the bounce houses, Sky's the Limit Mobile Gaming and Topeka Landscape Misting Station throughout the day. 
  • Find Baby Jay and Willie the Wildcat around the Capitol. 
  • Feel free to bring chairs, picnic blankets, etc. to enjoy the festival with your friends and family. Most trucks will offer sample size portions for $2-3, in addition to entree-sized options.
  • Tour the Capitol! Seriously. Climb the dome and look out on the festival!

After

5 p.m. to 2 a.m. -- LLS Benefit show in memory of Blake Cazier ($10 cover) at Celtic Fox -- official festival after party. Just walk.

5 - 11 p.m. -- Germanfest. Continues Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

6:30-9:30 p.m. -- Capital City Crushers vs. Salina Sirens roller derby
