Bio
He joined the Washburn University Foundation in 2015 as Development Director. Prior to joining the Foundation, he began a career in Topeka as the Director of Membership for the Top of the Tower Club. Sean then went on to become the Senior Director of Resource Development for the United Way of Greater Topeka where he was responsible for leading, developing and managing a comprehensive multi-year annual campaign plan, involving corporations, local businesses, and individual donors to engage them in our communities complex issues. He was fortunate to come to the Washburn University Foundation at a pivotal moment where he has been able to be participate in the final push for the 150 Forward Campaign. It has been a privilege for him to meet with alumni and donors that are enhancing the educational opportunities for generations to come at Washburn University through their generosity and support.
Sean is heavily involved in the Topeka community through his volunteer work and professional accomplishments. He was involved in managing the Young Leaders Society in the creation of a learning park (the Born Leading Trail) in the Pine Ridge Partnership, as well as volunteering with United Way of Topeka, North Topeka Arts District (NOTO), Leadership Greater Topeka, GenNext Vision Bank Millennial Board, Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, and Forge.
Sean recently married Kylene Frost on July 3, 2016. They bought a house and adopted a puppy. Their free time is spent enjoying time with family, playing tennis, community events and all activities at Washburn (music, art, and athletics).
