Visit the Mulvane Art Museum, one of the oldest accredited art museums west of the Mississippi River, for a constantly changing mix of guest exhibitions and in-house collections. The Mulvane welcomes art lovers of all ages to visit the ArtLab, a free hands-on art activity center. Join us for a First Friday Artwalk at participating locations downtown, in the North Topeka Arts District and throughout the city.

There's so much arts activity taking place in the North Topeka Arts District that even the New York Times has noticed! Lovingly referred to as NOTO and located in a two-block stretch along North Kansas Avenue - the north end of the city's downtown corridor - the arts district features some of the city's most historic buildings, which have been transformed into visual and performing artists' studios, boutiques and antique emporiums, restaurants and a Community Arts Center featuring a variety of weekend and evening art classes. NOTO is especially lively on the first Friday of the month, when shops and galleries stay open late and offer refreshments, music and special events.
