The Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce's Political Action Committee (PAC) has voted to endorse City Council Candidate Hannah Naeger in the contest for City Council District 6. The general election takes place November 5, 2019.
Chamber PAC Chairman Neil Dobler said, "Now more than ever a collaborative relationship between our business and community leaders and our elected officials is critical to maintaining the momentum in Topeka. Our committee was impressed with each of the candidates we interviewed but Ms. Naeger seemed to us to best embody the kind of pragmatic, cooperative approach we were looking for to create the best possible climate for growth in Topeka.” The endorsement also includes financial support for Naeger’s campaign. Under the Kansas Campaign Finance Act, the maximum campaign contribution for each candidate from a PAC is $500 per election cycle.
The Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) was registered as a political committee in 2018 to identify and support candidates for local and state elected office whose positions best align with the Chamber’s goals and objectives. No member of the PAC Board also serves in any leadership or staff capacity with the Greater Topeka Partnership or any of its Partner organizations.
