Know Before You Go
Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Food trucks will be available on site, along with a water station, and attendees are encouraged to bring refillable bottles. A beer garden will be located in front of Celtic Fox. Alcohol is not permitted on Capitol grounds.
Following the orchestra’s performance, the celebration will continue with a light and fountain show synchronized with music at Evergy Plaza.
Explore the Kansas Heritage Walk
Make the concert part of a fuller America 250 experience in downtown Topeka. Available throughout July, the Kansas Heritage Walk begins at the Docking State Office Building, weaves through the Capitol grounds, highlights historic statues, artwork, legacy markers, and downtown icons, and ends at Constitution Hall.
The trail is designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore downtown while connecting with the history, people, and places that help tell the story of Kansas’ role in America’s 250th anniversary.
