Celebrate Independence Day at the Spirit of Kansas and create some new memories with your family and friends.
Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival
This 4th of July celebration is hosted by the Topeka Blues Society and is a day full of music, food trucks, arts & crafts and more starting at 10:00 a.m. The festival ends as patriotic fireworks light up the sky sponsored by Capitol-Federal Savings & Loan! Topeka Metro will provide the public with free bus rides to the fireworks display at Lake Shawnee. The buses will leave from Reuger Sports Complex starting at 5:30 p.m. and will bring passengers back to the complex after the show.

8 a.m. Spirit of Kansas Golf Tournament – (first shotgun start)
9 a.m. Car Show – Shelters 4 and 5 in Tinman Circle near Reynolds Lodge
11 a.m. Food and Arts and Crafts (Vendors will stay open until 7:30 p.m.)
11:15 a.m. Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival Schedule:

- Noon Dust Devil Choir
- 1:30 p.m. Ms Hy-C and Fresh Start

- 8:45 p.m. Mark & The Sharks
6 p.m. Topeka Metro buses begin running from Rueger Sports Complex to Lake Shawnee
10 p.m. Capitol Federal® Fireworks display
